Job Summary
We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team! As a Medical Assistant, you will be preparing for each patient visit by preparing charts and pulling notes before their arrival, providing routine support to our physician, and assisting with keeping track of tests and lab reporting to ensure everything arrives on time and the patient is kept informed on their condition and care. You will also be helping manage the inventory of medical supplies and cleaning  rooms as needed. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, an interest in learning more about a working medical environment, and has previous office experience.

**This position will be 4 days per week**
 
 Work Schedule

  • Mon, Wed     8:30AM - 5:00PM
  • Tues, Thurs  9:30AM - 6:00PM
 
Responsibilities 
  •  Prepare exam rooms and patients for examinations or procedures. 
  • Gather medical histories, take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, etc.). 
  • Clean exam tables after use
  • Assist physician with basic medical care and procedures
  • Track lab results, call in prescriptions, and handle basic medical office duties
  •  Schedule patient appointments and manage the practice's schedule. 
  •  Maintain patient medical records and update files. 
  •  Handle billing procedures, insurance forms, and process claims. 
  •  Answer phones, greet patients, and relay  information to staff and patients. 
  • Work patient referrals
Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant desired
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
