Medical Assistant

Location: Melville, NY
Pay: $23/hour
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday + 1-2 Saturdays/month

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join a busy specialty healthcare practice in Melville. The ideal candidate has strong patient service skills and is comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, generally between 7:30 AM-5:30 PM, with 1-2 Saturdays per month from 8:00 AM-12:00 PM. Exact hours may vary based on the physician's schedule.

Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients
• Obtain and document medical histories and patient information
• Assist providers with exams and procedures
• Perform basic in-office testing and prepare specimens
• Document visits, treatments, and test results
• Maintain supplies, equipment, and sterile instruments
• Provide patient instructions as directed
• Follow HIPAA and confidentiality requirements

Qualifications

• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
• MA program completion or CMA/RMA certification preferred
• Epic experience preferred
• Candidates with a Bachelor's in Biology, EMT certification, or 5+ years of continuous MA experience may also qualify
• Strong communication and patient service skills
