Medical Assistant

Location: St. Augustine, FL 32086
Duration: Contract Opportunity
Shift: Day Shift

Schedule:

  • Monday, Thursday & Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Tuesday & Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to support both front and back office operations in a fast-paced healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will provide clinical and administrative support while ensuring exceptional patient care and efficient office operations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2–3 years of Medical Assistant experience required.

  • At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in addition to externship.

  • Front and back office experience required.

  • Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required.

  • EKG experience required.

  • Point-of-Care (POC) testing experience required.

  • EMR experience required.

  • Scheduling and patient rooming experience required.

  • Current BLS or CPR certification required.

  • Strong computer, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.

  • Medical Assistant Certification preferred.

  • Occupational Health experience preferred.

  • Experience administering vaccines preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Support front and back office clinical operations.

  • Greet, room, and prepare patients for provider visits.

  • Obtain and accurately document patient information and vital signs.

  • Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture and specimen collection.

  • Administer vaccines and assist with patient care activities.

  • Perform EKGs and Point-of-Care (POC) testing.

  • Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow.

  • Answer phones and assist with patient inquiries.

  • Maintain and update Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

  • Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to ensure efficient operations.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient care environment.

  • Follow all safety, infection control, and compliance guidelines.
