A healthcare network in Brooklyn, New York is seeking a certified Medical Assistant (MA) to support a busy outpatient care team with both clinical and administrative functions at a medical clinic.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day shift, with occasional evening coverage
- Schedule: Monday-Friday
- Hours: Standard business hours
- Setting: Outpatient clinic
Responsibilities:
- Assist providers with clinical and administrative duties
- Obtain and document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record system
- Support patient check-in and check-out processes
- Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals, and maintain accurate patient records
- Deliver excellent customer service to patients and visitors while monitoring patient flow
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience
- High School Diploma / GED
- Completion of a Medical Assistant (MA) program
- Medical Assistant (MA) certification
- Experience using an Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) system
Desired Skills:
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
- Experience with EPIC
- Knowledge of Medical terminology
