Summary:
Boulder Medical Center (BMC) offers exclusive Medical Assistant internship opportunities to University of Colorado pre-med students. This program is tailored to students in the last 6-18 months of their undergrad program and provides hands-on clinical experience in outpatient care, training in electronic medical records (EMR), qualifies for academic course credit, and prepares students to work as fully trained Medical Assistants.
Interns primarily work in Primary Care settings, including Family Medicine and Internal Medicine, with additional exposure to medical and surgical outpatient clinics.
This internship requires a commitment of 10 hours per week during weekday business hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.) over a 6–18 month period. Interns have weekends and major holidays off.
