    Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

    The Medical Assistant Lead serves as a clinical expert and resource, demonstrating advanced competency across service lines while mentoring and precepting other Medical Assistants. This role supports consistency, quality, and clinic readiness across operations.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Serves as a clinical expert and resource, demonstrating advanced proficiency across service lines.
    • Performs complex clinical workflows independently and supports clinic readiness and consistency.
    • Precepts and mentors Medical Assistants, providing real-time guidance, coaching, and skill reinforcement within scope.
    • Is an expert and can easily rotate between multiple service lines (e.g., Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Women's Health, Behavioral Health) as business needs permit.
    • Serves as a preceptor for the onboarding and competency development of new MAs in collaboration with clinic leadership and trainers.
    • Reinforces adherence to clinical policies, standards, and EMR workflows to promote quality and safety.
    • Identifies trends, risks, or workflow gaps and escalates appropriately to leadership.
    • Communicates effectively with interdisciplinary teams to support clinic flow and patient experience.
    • Adapts to operational needs by floating between clinics as assigned to maintain continuity of care.
    • Serves as a stabilizing clinical presence during periods of change, high volume, or staffing gaps.
