Medical Assistant – Clinical Care (Full-Time)

Location: Lafayette, LA 70501
Schedule: Monday–Thursday 7:45 AM – 4:45 PM | Friday 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. This role is responsible for supporting providers in delivering high-quality patient care by executing clinical tasks, assisting with treatments, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the clinic.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist providers by accurately carrying out treatment orders and clinical instructions
• Take and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, etc.)
• Perform blood draws and specimen collection as required
• Conduct X-rays (if certified)
• Provide direct patient care in a clinical setting
• Support and participate in daily clinical operations and patient flow
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care at all times

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant in a hospital or clinic setting
• Current CPR certification

Additional Details

• Work Environment: Clinical setting (no in-home care)
• Travel: Occasional travel may be required to Baton Rouge for coverage (not within the same shift)
