    Job title: Medical Assistant/Lab Technician

    Location: Jacksonville, NC- Crystal Coast Pain Management

    Status: Full-time, Non-exemptMonday through Thursday- 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

    Department: Crystal Coast Pain Management- Clinical 

    Reports to:Practice Administrator/Clinical Manager, Crystal Coast Pain Management

    Job Supervisory Responsibilities:None

    Job Summary:

    The Medical Assistant/Lab Technician is a vital role to the pain clinic. We are seeking a motivated medical assistant to oversee ourlab operations. This position will involveurine and oral swab collection. This position will involve heavy patient interaction. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, able to work independently, customer service oriented and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Clinical Duties

    Urine Collection

    Oral Swabs

    Packaging and Shipping samples

    Distribution of results

    Supply ordering

    Assist other team members as needed

    Other duties as assigned by supervisor

    Education and Experience:

    High school diploma.

    Minimum of 1-year medical assisting experience.

    Knowledge of medical terminology.

    Proficiency with EMRs.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with staff, physicians, and external customers.

    Strong ability to multitask and move from one project to another as needed.

    Works to resolve problems or determines an appropriate course of action in a timely manner. 

    Strong time management, follow-through, and organizational skills.

    Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

    Work performed in an office environment.

    Involves frequent contact with physicians, leadership, and medical office staff.
