About the Role:CardioClinic in Katy, TX is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our dynamic cardiology team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in patients' lives while growing your career in a specialized and rewarding medical environment.
Responsibilities:- Assist cardiologists and clinical staff with patient examinations and procedures
- Perform EKGs, vital signs, and other diagnostic screenings as directed
- Prepare and room patients, documenting medical histories and chief complaints
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR)
- Place heart monitors
- Ensure exam rooms are stocked, clean, and compliant with clinical standards
Requirements:- High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant diploma or certification (CMA/RMA) preferred
- Prior experience in a clinical or medical office setting preferred
- Experience with EKGs and cardiac monitoring is a strong plus
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
- BLS/CPR certification required or ability to obtain upon hire
