Location: Indianapolis, IN
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 8 Weeks
Shift & Schedule:
Day Shift | Monday – Friday | 40 Hours/Week
Monday: 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Tuesday: 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM
Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Thursday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Friday: 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Local Candidates Required: Yes
Traveler Candidates Required: Yes

Pay Rate: $22 – $24/hr

Position Overview
We are seeking a Medical Assistant to support front and back-office operations, patient care, clinical procedures, scheduling, and documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in addition to an externship.

  • Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred.

  • Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required.

  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience required.

  • Front and back-office experience required.

  • Experience with scheduling appointments, patient rooming, and recording vital signs.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.

  • BLS or CPR certification required.

  • Point-of-Care (POC) testing experience required.

  • EKG experience preferred.

  • Athena EMR experience preferred.

  • Bilingual skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support front and back-office operations.

  • Greet and room patients.

  • Schedule appointments and answer incoming phone calls.

  • Obtain and document patient vital signs.

  • Perform blood draws, phlebotomy, and venipuncture.

  • Administer vaccines within scope of practice.

  • Perform EKG and Point-of-Care testing.

  • Provide additional clinical support as needed.

  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the EMR.

  • Communicate effectively and professionally with patients and center staff.

  • Support health education and outreach initiatives.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
