Pay Rate: Starting at $20.00/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Dean's Professional Services is seeking an experienced, dependable, and patient-focused Medical Assistant II to support a leading healthcare organization in Houston, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support within a Urology setting while delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and clinical staff with daily patient care and clinic operations.

   

• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and consultations.

   

• Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, medications, and other patient information accurately.

   

• Assist providers with examinations and minor office procedures as directed.

   

• Perform clinical tasks within the scope of training and applicable requirements.

   

• Support patient intake, rooming, scheduling, and efficient patient flow.

   

• Prepare examination rooms, instruments, and supplies for patient visits.

   

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.

   

• Communicate professionally with patients and families, providing clear instructions and answering routine questions.

   

• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to support quality patient care.

   

• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, infection prevention, and safety standards.

   

• Assist with referrals, authorizations, prescription requests, and other administrative tasks as needed.

   

• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinical environment.

   

• Perform other duties as assigned to support the Urology practice.

   

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

   

• Previous Medical Assistant experience required.

   

• Experience in an outpatient or specialty clinic setting preferred.

   

• Urology experience preferred.

   

• Strong patient service and communication skills.

   

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

   

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

   

• Proficiency with electronic medical records and basic computer applications preferred.

   

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
