Medical Assistant II

We are looking for a bright, energetic medical assistant that can assist our pulmonary physiciansin managing their busy practice. The ideal candidate will be familiar with preauthorization, scheduling patients for tests and procedures, ordering Oxygen and supplies for patients. They will work closely with the insurance companies with pre-authorizations for medical supplies, medications, tests and procedures.They will obtain O2 saturations, VS, EKG if necessary, answer and return phone calls, taking vital signs. Critical thinking and good communication skills are a must. Will need to be able to manage the enterprise computer system. Hospital and departmentalorientation will be provided upon completion of the hiring process, as wellas training of our employees. A strong benefit package was provided and a competitive salary. Hours are 8am to 5pm. Monday through Friday.
