    ‎ 

    Medical Assistant II – Primary Care (Full Time)

    Company: Vera Whole Health

    Location: 1150 Powder Springs St, Suite 50, Marietta, GA 30064

    Schedule:
    Mon–Thurs: 8:30am - 6:00pm
    Fri (rotating): 7:00am–1:00pm
    Sat (rotating): 8:00am–12:00pm

    Pay Range: $20–$25/hr

    Experience Required: 1–2 years experience as a Medical Assistant required


    About the Role
    Vera Whole Health is seeking a reliable, patient‑focused Medical Assistant II to support our busy primary care clinic with three providers. This role offers a blend of clinical and front‑office responsibilities, providing hands‑on patient care while ensuring smooth daily operations. You’ll rotate between back office and front office duties, support patient flow, and deliver excellent customer service in a fast‑paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Clinical Duties

    • Room patients and obtain vital signs

    • Perform phlebotomy, injections, and specimen collection

    • Assist with physicals and occupational health services

    • Support medication refill workflows

    • Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment

    • Provide patient education and ensure a welcoming, supportive experience

    Front & Back Office Rotation

    • Rotate between clinical and administrative duties

    • Check patients in/out and verify insurance

    • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow

    • Handle phone calls, messages, and patient inquiries

    • Support providers with documentation and follow‑up tasks

    Primary Care Support

    • Work closely with providers in a busy primary care setting

    • Support internal medicine, urgent care, and occupational health workflows

    • Maintain compliance with infection control and safety standards

    Qualifications

    • 1–2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant (primary care, urgent care, internal medicine, or occupational health preferred)

    • Phlebotomy and injection experience required

    • Strong customer service skills and patient‑centered approach

    • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy clinic

    • EMR experience; Athena experience is a plus

    • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

    • Certification not required
