The Medical Assistant provides high quality, direct patient care in a team-based model to our Mount Auburn Medical Oncology/ Hematology patients and supports smooth and efficient administrative and clinical practice operations. The Medical Assistant has the ability to work with people from different backgrounds and respects the beliefs of all patients and team members. Reports to the Practice Manager. Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

About the Role
Join a collaborative outpatient Hematology/Oncology practice supporting patients receiving care for cancer and benign blood disorders.
As a Medical Assistant, you will room patients, complete detailed medication reconciliation, perform phlebotomy, obtain vital signs, and help maintain a safe and efficient patient flow.

The practice provides outpatient medical oncology and benign hematology care. Patients may be receiving care for:
The clinic may see approximately 40-50 patients on a busy day. Many patients return regularly, allowing team members to build meaningful relationships with them over time.

Physical Requirements
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and or up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Job is physical in nature and employee needs to stand and/or move around through the majority of their shift.

Pay Range:
$21.00 - $28.26
The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
