Medical Assistant | Heart & Vascular | Day Shift | Full-time

A professional multi-skilled person dedicated to assisting in all aspects of medical practice including administrative and clinical procedures under the direct supervision and responsibility of a licensed physician. Overview: This position may require travel to other UF Health Heart & Vascular clinics to provide coverage as needed.

Qualifications:

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Less than one year - Medical Assistant experience.
• Prefer one year Medical Assistant experience.
• Must be graduate from approved Medical Assistant program. 

Necessary Skills: 

• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. 
• Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks. 
• Knowledge of ambulatory health care or related health care fields. 
• Skilled in conflict resolution.
• Ability to use computers. 

Required Licensure/Certifications:

• Employees must obtain medical assistant certification within 6 months of date of hire/transfer into the position.
• Current BLS from the American Heart Association.
