Position Title: Medical Assistant 

Location: North Park Medical Center, 2045 Adams Avenue, San Diego, CA 92116

Employment Type: Full-Time 

Hourly Range: $18.00 - $23.00 (Based on Experience)

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct vital sign measurements and room patients for appointments.
  • Administer injections as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Accurately enter referrals and assist with prior authorizations.
  • Warmly greet patients and create a welcoming environment.
  • Verify insurance coverage and manage authorizations.
  • Handle payment transactions and co-pay collections.
  • Professionally answer phone calls, triage messages, and direct inquiries.
  • Demonstrate exceptional multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Emphasis on Referrals: Manage the referral process diligently to ensure continuous patient care, including documentation in the EHR.
  • Scan and file documents daily into patients’ charts accurately.

Requirements: 

  • Certified Medical Assistant with experience in multitasking under pressure
  • Availability: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm (1-hour lunch break)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred
  • Proficient in various clinical and administrative tasks as outlined
  • CPR certificate
  • Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively
