Full time Medical Assistant needed for busy family practice clinic in Edmond
Monday-Friday, no weekends or major holidays
Responsibilities
- Rooming patients
- Obtain health history
- Take vitals, draw blood, and administer injections, perform EKG's
- Take patient calls and explain lab results to patients
- E-scribing prescriptions
- Assist physician with patient examinations, evaluations, procedures and in all aspects of clinical patient care and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Medical assistant certification and phlebotomist certification a plus
- Experience in a family practice preferred but not required
- Experience with filing prescriptions online
- Experience with x-rays and lab testing preferred
- Knowledge of medications and calculation of dosages
- Experience with electronic health records (Epic) preferred
- High School Diploma or GED
