Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s healthcare facility in Fort Worth, TX 76116 . This is a 3-month contract assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Type: Local Contract
Duration: 3-month Contract (Possibility of extension or conversion)
Pay rate: $20-$23/hr. On W2 (Pay rate is based on experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5:00 PM.
 
Responsibilities:
  1. Perform all duties within the scope of Medical Assistant practice.
  2. Organize the clinical environment and provide support during patient care activities.
  3. Room patients according to established policies and procedures and prepare them for examination.
  4. Perform patient-oriented procedures and administer medications within Medical Assistant scope of practice.
  5. Administer non-intravenous medications as directed.
  6. Operate diagnostic equipment, including performing EKGs (without interpretation of results).
  7. Change wound dressings and obtain cultures.
  8. Collect specimens using noninvasive techniques and obtain blood specimens through venipuncture.
  9. Conduct quality control checks on clinical equipment.
  10. Accurately document patient care activities in the electronic medical record in a timely manner.
  11. Coordinate patient care in accordance with physician direction, company standards, and organizational policies.
  12. Organize, stock, clean, and maintain exam and treatment rooms.
  13. Adhere to standard infection control precautions and safety protocols.
  14. Conduct telephone and in-person patient intake, gathering information without exercising clinical judgment beyond scope of practice.
  15. Support and follow Standard Delegation of Orders (SDO).
  16. Maintain patient confidentiality and treat all patients with courtesy, dignity, and respect.
  17. Perform other related duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Current, Medical Assistant Certification/ Registration.
  • Current, BLS Certification.
  • Knowledge of ICD-10/ CPT coding preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/ Spanish) preferred.
