Premier Primary Care is a family-owned and operated. 
Medical Assistant will work with our Board Certified Family Medicine (Primary Care Physician PCP) /Fellowship trained in Sports Medicine. His practice of 25 years provides comprehensive medical care, integrating general primary care with specialized evaluation and treatment of sports-related conditions. 

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of clinical experience, excellent communication skills, and a strong work ethic. 
 
Clinical responsibilities 
  • Greet patients and escort them to exam rooms 
  • Obtain and document vital signs, (blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, respiration)
  • Record patient history, chief complaint, assist with referrals to specialists, communicate with pharmacies.
  • Assist with physical exams and minor procedures 
  • Apply and remove braces and other Orthopedic treatments
  • Perform EKG, visions screenings, peak flow and other diagnostic tests 
  • Administer injections (vaccines, medications) as directed by provider 
  • Perform venipuncture and prepare specimens for lab testing 
Sports Medicine Specific Tasks 
  •  Provide pre-participation physical support (health history) 
  •  Support rehabilitation plans by assisting with range of motion or strength assessments
  •  Assist in fitting and education on athletics supports and braces
  •  Help coordinate imaging (x-rays, MRIs…) and follow-up care
 Administrative Responsibilities
  •  Schedule patient appointments and follow-ups
  •  Call in prescriptions and obtain prior authorizations
  •  Maintain patient records and ensure accurate charting in chart
  •  Respond to Patient messages referral requests and test results under provider Direction
  •  Monitor and restock clinical supplies and exam rooms
 Compliance and Safety
  •  Follow infection control and HIPAA protocols
  •  Ensure equipment is clean and maintained (autoclave) 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain vital signs, medical histories, and perform point-of-care testing
  • Administer medications and injections under provider direction
  • Prepare and clean exam rooms between patients
  • Perform EKGs, rapid tests, and specimen collection as needed
  • Accurately document patient information

Requirements:
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting
