Medical Assistant - Float Pool

Prefer at least one year experience in a clinical or physician-office setting, emergency room and/or a hospital setting that provides patient care. High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited program in Medical Assistant Training or equivalent experience required.

Responsibilities:

Job Summary

• Screens patient and obtains pertinent information.
• Assists physician or advanced practitioner during patient visit in accordance with age specific needs. 
• Assists the physician or advanced practitioner in all aspects of patient care and communication as instructed.
• Maintains the exam rooms and work environment.
• Provides support to the clinic as needed.

Qualifications:

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited program in Medical Assistant Training or equivalent experience required.

Experience

• Prefer at least one year experience in a clinical or physician-office setting, emergency room and/or a hospital setting that provides patient care. Experience in office clerical activities desirable.

Licensure/Certification/Registration/ETC.

• CMA or RMA preferred.
