Medical Assistant – Express Care (Part-Time) Southwoods Health is hiring a part-time Medical Assistant for our Express Care locations in Boardman, Campbell, and Columbiana. In this role, you will partner with physicians and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, comprehensive patient care while performing a variety of skilled clinical and administrative duties. Key Responsibilities: - Create a welcoming, friendly, and professional environment for all patients and visitors.
- Room patients efficiently using two approved patient identifiers.
- Measure and record vital signs, chief complaints, medications, and allergies in patient charts.
- Collect, process, and prepare laboratory specimens safely for transport.
- Promptly report critical lab results, adverse reactions, and key clinical updates to the provider.
- Handle administrative tasks including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing medical records.
- Advocate for patient rights and responsibilities in all daily duties.
- Maintain full compliance with all relevant regulatory agency standards.
Qualifications: - Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with a diploma; OR maintain an active registration/certification (RMA via AMT, CMA via AAMA, or CCMA via NHA).
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Excellent customer service, multitasking, and organizational skills.
Schedule & Position Type: - Status: Part-Time (2–4 days per week)
- Hours: Variable schedule, including weekends
