    Orchard Park Family Practice, a large, dynamic Family Practice located in Orchard Park and Depew NY, has a current job opportunity for a full-time Medical Assistant.

    Orchard Park Family Practice is seeking a Medical Assistant with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar position at a medical office, medical terminology knowledge, and exhibits initiative and self-motivation with the ability to effectively problem solve while working in a team atmosphere.

    The ideal candidate will have superb customer service skills, empathy, patience and the ability to reassure and calm concerned patients. We seek an individual who possesses a broad knowledge of medical terminology, exhibits excellent verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail as well as the ability to work within a team.

    Responsibilities & Duties

    • Review of daily provider schedules
    • Taking notes during patient visits and documenting them in the electronic health records system
    • Learning about the medical process and using a team approach in patient supervision and documentation
    • Working with a Provider to complete and submit medical records
    • Communicating with patients and Providers professionally
    • Completing all administrative tasks efficiently and helping the Provider order tests
    • Helping electronically prescribe medication for patients
    • Providing a safe patient care environment
    • Ability to expertly document patient care and transcribe patient appointments
    • Advanced computer skills
    • Strong organization, multitasking and time management skills
    • Ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively
    • Good bedside manner and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

    Career Level Required Experienced (Non-Manager)
