Medical Assistant

The ideal candidate must possess excellent computer skills as we are an electronic medical records-based practice. Qualified candidates must have completed a certified Medical Assistant education program and have a minimum of six months of relevant experience. This position is located at our Denver office near Rose Medical Center. Our office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This is not a REMOTE position.

We offer excellent benefits, generous paid time off plan and highly competitive pay, starting at $23 - $25 per hour commensurate with experience. Bi-lingual pay may be offered. Employment at Colorado Kidney Care is contingent on successful completion of pre-employment screening and background check.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Greet patients and perform Check-in and Check-out procedures in an accurate and timely manner
  • Room patients, process urine specimens, and take vitals
  • Process patient payments and perform billing payment entry
  • Prepare payment batches and maintain accurate office money and cash transactions
  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Perform medication, test and procedure authorizations
  • Distribute notes and information to outside providers/entities when needed
  • Prepare for patient office visits and prepare lab work in patient charts
  • Maintain appointment waitlist and schedule waitlist appointments whenever possible
  • Scan and attach patient medical records and administrative documents in EMR
  • Utilize and maintain office communication through Outlook, calendars, and task reminder
  • Review and process incoming faxes, and flow labs that are not electronically sent
  • Make patient reminder calls for lab work two weeks prior to patient appointments
  • Cross coverage of other duties as needed & other duties as assigned
