    Description

    We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented professional to support clinical and administrative operations in a fast-paced healthcare setting. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering excellent patient care, maintaining accuracy in documentation, and helping create a welcoming experience for every individual who visits the practice.

    Responsibilities

    • Greet patients and provide courteous, professional service during check-in, rooming, and check-out.
    • Record and update patient information, medical histories, and vital signs accurately in the electronic health record.
    • Prepare patients for examinations and assist clinicians during routine procedures as directed.
    • Administer basic clinical tasks within scope of practice and in accordance with organizational policies and applicable regulations.
    • Collect and prepare specimens, process test requests, and support coordination of laboratory services as needed.
    • Manage appointment scheduling, follow-up communications, and patient reminders.
    • Maintain exam rooms, clinical supplies, and equipment to support efficient daily operations.
    • Answer phones, respond to patient questions, and route messages appropriately.
    • Support referrals, prior authorizations, and other administrative tasks related to patient care.
    • Follow infection control, safety, confidentiality, and documentation standards at all times.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Completion of an accredited medical assisting program preferred.
    • Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant may be preferred or required depending on location and practice needs.
    • Previous experience in a clinical or healthcare support role is an asset.
    • Working knowledge of medical terminology, electronic health records, and basic clinical procedures.
    • Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
    • Ability to maintain professionalism, discretion, and patient confidentiality.

    Preferred Skills

    • Experience with vital signs, specimen collection, injections, or procedure assistance, where permitted by scope of practice.
    • Familiarity with insurance verification, referrals, or prior authorization processes.
    • Comfort using office technology, scheduling systems, and electronic charting tools.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with clinicians, staff, and patients from diverse backgrounds.
