Medical Assistant - Clinic

Pride Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility in Altamonte Springs, FL 32714. This is a 3+ month contract assignment (convertible to permanent based on your work performance). and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Specific Duties:

• Ability to evaluate patient needs, administer prescribed medications, assist physician with examinations and treatment, prepare and apply dressings, and instruct patients in health measures and self-care as instructed by the physician.
• Knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Ability to document and report findings and observations.
• Ability to perform EKGs.
• Ability to provide on-site emergency treatment within scope of practice.
• Ability to complete a color blindness test.
• Strong phlebotomy skills.
• Must be computer literate.
• Ability to interact and verbally communicate effectively with patients and all levels of personnel in a professional, courteous and effective manner with excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a high paced environment with good organizational skills.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions and to work with general guidance.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations

Qualifications:

• Certified Medical Assistant
• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS Certification
• At least one (1) year of experience as a Medical Assistant in Primary Care Office.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.

Additional Information:

• Location: Altamonte Springs, FL 32714
• Job Type: 3+ months contract to Hire
• Office Hours: Monday -Friday 8 am-5 pm
• Pay Range: $20-$23/hr. on W2

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
