Baptist Heart Specialists is currently seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Nassau office located in Fernandina Beach, FL.

This is a Full-Time opportunity working Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM.

The ideal candidate will perform back office Medical Assistant duties, such as rooming patients, obtaining vitals, ensuring testing for and assisting the provider. EKG experience is a plus!

Medical Assistant, Job Responsibilities:

• Provides medical assistance to physicians
• Obtains vital signs
• Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
• Maintains medical documentation
• Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
• Processes prescription requests and referrals

Experience Requirements:

• 2+ years Patient Care Experience
• Experience in Physician's office

Education & Credential Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED Required
• Associate of Arts/Science Preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Certified Medical Assistant Preferred
