Medical Assistant

Location: Brookfield, WI 53045
Duration: 12-Week Contract Assignment + Possible Extension
Schedule: Monday–Friday

  • Monday: 7:00 AM–4:30 PM
  • Tuesday: 9:30 AM–7:00 PM
  • Wednesday: 9:30 AM–7:00 PM
  • Thursday: 7:00 AM–4:30 PM
  • Friday: 6:00 AM–11:00 AM
  • Lunch: 12:00 PM–12:30 PM

Pay Rate: $22–$24/hour

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant will provide support across both front and back-office functions in a clinical healthcare setting. Responsibilities include greeting and rooming patients, scheduling appointments, answering phones, obtaining vital signs, performing phlebotomy, administering vaccines, and providing additional clinical support as needed.

The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with the healthcare team and provide professional, patient-focused support while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, excluding externship experience.
  • Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred.
  • Occupational Health experience strongly preferred.
  • Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required.
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Interest in supporting patient education and health-focused initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Room patients and document relevant information in the EMR.
  • Obtain and record vital signs and other clinical information.
  • Perform venipuncture and other basic laboratory procedures.
  • Perform EKGs and point-of-care testing as required.
  • Administer vaccines in accordance with established protocols and scope of practice.
  • Schedule appointments and assist with front-office administrative duties.
  • Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and records.
  • Provide general clinical and administrative support to the healthcare team.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and patient-friendly work environment.
