A New York City healthcare system is seeking a certified Medical Assistant (MA) to join their outpatient medical practice in the Bronx.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: Standard business
- Setting: Outpatient clinic
Responsibilities:
- Support providers with clinical and administrative tasks
- Accurately obtain and document patient information in the EMR
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes
- Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals, and maintain patient records
- Provide customer service, answer calls, collect copays, and perform patient outreach
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience
- Medical Assistant (MA) certification
- Experience using an Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) system
Desired Skills:
- Experience with EPIC
- Knowledge of Medical terminology
- Experience in an Outpatient Healthcare setting
