About the Role:Back to Health of Branford LLC is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our growing healthcare team in Branford, CT. Responsibilities:- Assist clinical staff with patient intake, vital signs, and medical histories
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper supply levels
- Perform basic clinical procedures as directed
- Communicate with patients regarding treatment plans, follow-up care, and appointment reminders
- Process insurance information, referrals, and prior authorizations
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and office protocols
Requirements:- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
- Prior experience in a clinical or medical office setting is a preferred
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and medical office software
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy clinical environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology, billing, and coding is a bonus
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
