    Description

    We are seeking a dedicated and dependable CMA / Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support to an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN). This role involves local travel between sites using a company-provided vehicle and requires a strong commitment to patient care, professionalism, and reliability. The ideal candidate is located near Lincoln, IL and is willing to commute to Lincoln to start their day.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate with the on-site facility nursing staff upon arrival to locate residents, gather necessary charts, and ensure a smooth, efficient clinic flow.
    • Greet residents, room patients within the facility space, and accurately measure vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and oxygen saturation) prior to the Nurse Practitioner's evaluation.
    • Assist the Nurse Practitioner with non-clinical administrative tasks in the Electronic Health Record (EHR), such as pulling up patient face sheets, logging completed visits, or cross-referencing care plan templates.
    • Support the CCM team with billing entry, time tracking documentation, and record updates in the EHR.
    • Help coordinate daily schedules and facility visits to ensure smooth, efficient program delivery.
    • Travel locally to support care delivery across assigned locations

    Qualifications:

    • Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification or equivalent required
    • Previous medical assistant, clinic, or long-term care experience preferred
    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and adapt to a mobile work environment
    • Basic computer proficiency (EHR experience preferred)

    Requirements:

    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required)
    • Ability to meet physical demands of patient care (standing, walking, lifting)
    • Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain)
