Baptist Health is looking to add a Medical Assistant to our Baptist Heart Specialists office on University Blvd in Jacksonville, FL.

This is a Full-Time Days opportunity Monday through Friday from 8:00AM-5:00P.

The experienced candidate will perform back office Medical Assistant duties, such as rooming patients and administering EKGs. Experience preferred but new Medical Assistants are welcome to apply.

Medical Assistant, Job Responsibilities:

• Provides medical assistance to physician
• Obtains vital signs
• Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
• Maintains medical documentation
• Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
• Processes prescription requests and referrals

Experience Requirements:

• Over 5 years Patient Care Experience
• Experience in Physician's office

Education & Credential Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED Required
• Associate of Arts/Science Preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Certified Medical Assistant Required
