Medical Assistant

We are currently seeking an Urgent Care Medical Assistant to join our growing team at our family-owned and operated Urgent Care! You will focus on providing high-quality patient care as part of a healthcare team, whether in the back office or at the check-in desk.

Clinic hours are 8 AM to 8 PM Monday through Friday and 8 AM to 6 PM Saturday and Sunday, giving lots of room for flexibility to accommodate everyone's availability and lifestyle.

Full time, up to 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
• Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
• Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures
• Escort patients to exam rooms 
•  Assist patients with check-in, triage, and verify insurances
• Take vitals and room patients, ensuring their comfort during their visit
• Perform medical procedures as necessary, supported by one of our friendly and helpful providers
• Communicate information to patients regarding diagnosis and treatment goals, often over the phone
• Maintain patient medical records
• Clean and sanitize patient areas and exam rooms, stocking if needed
• Act with honesty and integrity in all business transactions

​Qualifications:

• Previous experience in healthcare field, preferably urgent care
• Familiarity with medical billing procedures
• Strong organizational skills

• Strong customer service and ability to build rapport with patients

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
