Pride Health is hiring a
Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility in
Seattle, WA (98104). This is a
3+ month contract assignment (convertible to permanent based on your work performance). And a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organisation!
Specific Duties:- Rooming patients, including obtaining and documenting vitals, chief complaints, medication reconciliation, and health history in the electronic medical record (EPIC).
- Managing in-basket tasks such as triaging patient messages, processing refill requests, and routing calls appropriately.
- Performing accurate documentation and closing encounters per department workflows.
- Maintaining exam room cleanliness, stocking supplies, and ensuring infection control compliance.
- Providing patient education within scope.
- Supporting patient flow by proactively communicating with providers and team members to reduce wait times and increase clinic efficiency.
- Performing administrative tasks as needed, including scanning documents and assisting with paperwork completion, such as medication prior authorizations.
- Setting and cleaning up for procedures and be comfortable assisting Providers during in-office procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of preferred experience
- Previous Family Medicine or Primary Care experience.
- Medical Assistant Certification from any National Board
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Current BLS certification (through an approved American Heart Association Training Centre
What skills/attributes are nice to have, and will set a candidate apart?- Basic computer literacy required, with intermediate Excel skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology required
- The ability to react calmly and effectively in emergencies is required
- Good communication and customer service skills required

- Shifts: 8 AM – 5 PM
- Pay Range: $20-$29/hr. on W2
