Job Title: Clinical Medical Assistant

• Location: New York, NY  Schedule: Mon – Thurs (7:45 AM – 4:30 PM) | Fri (7:45 AM – 4:00 PM) Dress Code: Solid color scrubs (Navy Blue or Black preferred). Pay Rate: $18-$20/hr

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Clinical Medical Assistant to join our team. This role is central to our patient experience, requiring a blend of technical clinical competence and a compassionate, patient-centered approach. You will work closely with physicians and mid-level providers to ensure high-quality care and efficient office operations in a dynamic clinical environment.

Top Responsibilities & Daily Tasks

• Direct Patient Care: Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain accurate vital signs, and perform vision screenings or authorized laboratory tests.
• Clinical Support: Assist physicians and nurses during exams, office diagnostic procedures, and treatments with high technical competence.
• Administrative Coordination: Prepare e-prescriptions for pharmacy processing via EPIC and ensure all patient needs are communicated to the medical team in a timely manner.
• Specimen & Lab Management: Process and label specimens for transport, ensuring all orders are correctly entered into the EMR system (EPIC).
• Safety & Maintenance: Inspect, clean, and process medical instruments and equipment according to manufacturer and CareMount Medical guidelines.
• Collaboration: Maintain a proactive approach to patient care, seeking guidance from senior medical staff when necessary to ensure the highest standards of safety and policy compliance.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a medical office, clinic, or hospital setting.
• Technical Skill: 2+ years of phlebotomy experience is required.
• Certification: Must hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Travel: Flexibility to travel to satellite locations for coverage, potentially within the same shift.
