Description:
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (MA‑C) to support our clinical team by delivering efficient, high-quality patient care and administrative support. This role is integral to ensuring smooth clinic operations, accurate documentation, and a positive patient experience.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

This job will have the following responsibilities:
  • Patient Care & Clinical Support
  • Room patients according to established policies and procedures and prepare them for examination
  • Perform intake by collecting patient information, vital signs, and medical history
  • Assist providers with patient care and clinical procedures as needed
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Accurately and promptly document patient care activities in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Support data reporting and tracking for HEDIS measures
  • Maintain organized and compliant patient records
  • Care Coordination & Administrative Support
  • Coordinate patient care based on physician direction and organizational policies
  • Perform telephone and in-person patient intake, gathering relevant information without clinical judgment
  • Process and manage referral authorizations and DME (Durable Medical Equipment) requests
  • Support scheduling and patient flow as needed
  • Patient Experience & Compliance
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)
  • Provide courteous, respectful, and professional interactions with patients
  • Respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations
  • Prepare, stock, and clean exam and treatment rooms
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain equipment readiness
  • Follow standard infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Current Medical Assistant Certification
  • 1–2 years of customer service experience (healthcare preferred)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding
  • Computer proficiency with intermediate Excel skills
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations
