Job Title: Medical Assembler

Client: Medical Device Manufacturing Company

Duration: 6 Months Contract

Location: Waltham, MA 02453

Shift: 1st Shift

Job Summary

Perform mechanical and precision assembly of medical device components and sub-assemblies, including wiring, soldering, cable assembly, bonding, potting, and fitting while following blueprints and manufacturing procedures.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical and precision assembly of components and sub-assemblies.
  • Perform wiring, hand soldering, cable assembly, bonding, and potting.
  • Set up and adjust equipment while maintaining required tolerances.
  • Follow blueprints, work orders, procedures, and production schedules.
  • Operate manufacturing equipment used for ultrasound transducer components.
  • Complete work orders on schedule to maintain production flow.
  • Identify and report non-conforming materials and equipment issues.
  • Record labor time accurately in the MRP system.
  • Clean and maintain equipment, tools, and fixtures.
  • Maintain 5S standards and support Lean/Continuous Improvement.
  • Develop proficiency in at least one area such as bonding, wiring, or potting.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • 1–2 years of related assembly/manufacturing experience.
  • Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Self-directed and organized with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for up to 8 hours/day.


Preferred

  • Lean Manufacturing experience.
  • Medical device or precision manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with soldering, wiring, bonding, or potting.
