Columbus Oncology and Hematology is looking for a full-time Medical AR Specialistto join our team! Columbus Oncology and Hematology is a private practice that offers services at three locations throughout the Columbus area. This position is responsible for claim follow-up, denial management, patient billing and account reconciliation.
This position is onsite at our Dublin, Ohio business location. This is not a remote position but a hybrid opportunity is available following training.
- Proven experience in reviewing, researching and claim follow-up on insurance denials.
- Proven experience in submitting tiered appeals using precise arguments based on clinical documentation and payer medical policies.
- Ability to navigate Practice Management and EHR to identify aged outstanding balances.
- Ability to review medical necessity to defend high dollar claims.
- Identify, review, research, and resolve credit balances ensuring the correct disposition of funds.
- Strong documentation skills is a requirement on follow-up activities to provide a historical timeline of actions taken.
Qualifications:- Two + years’ experience in a physician practice business office performing AR follow-up, denial management and reimbursement activities.
- Overall knowledge of the healthcare revenue cycle and medical terminology.
