Medical Billing Denial Specialist - Asheville NC - up to $18/hr
PrideStaff is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist for a growing healthcare client in the Asheville area!
The Role
In this position, you will manage patient billing records, process insurance claims, reconcile accounts, and resolve payment discrepancies to ensure smooth financial operations for the practice.
What You Will Do
Submit electronic and paper medical claims to commercial and government insurers.
Review patient charts, codes, and billing details for accuracy and policy compliance.
Follow up on unpaid, denied, or delinquent accounts and submit appeals when necessary.
Process patient payments, issue statements, and answer billing questions with excellent care.
Post insurance payments and adjustments while maintaining precise financial records.
What You Will Bring
1–3 years of experience in medical billing, coding, or healthcare collections.
Working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT codes, and medical terminology.
Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and billing software systems.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and clear communication abilities.
