PACT MSO has a busy Surgical Group with multiple locations seeking a Medical Administrative Assistant to work in Hamden, Ansonia and Fairfield. The position would be floating between the office locations. The hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm.

This position supports a department, provider, or manager by performing duties as directed.

Essential Functions

  • Assist with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, follow up, etc.
  • Responsible for schedule utilization, cancelation and wait list management
  • Coordinates tests, procedures, and lab appointments for patients
  • Provide patients with information and respond to patient inquiries
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings
  • Assist with all patient portal questions
  • Attend meetings as required by management
  • Communicate information appropriately, accurately, and timely
  • Create and maintain reports and distributes to appropriate staff and management
  • Identify and communicate inconsistencies of information in reports to appropriate staff
  • Obtaining pre-operative clearances from providers offices 
  • Creating surgery folders
  • Assisting clinical staff with FMLA and disability paperwork

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in an office setting
