This position serves as the lead technician for the university's immersive projection classroom and is responsible for the preparation, setup, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continued advancement of its Pixera-based visualization environment and associated audiovisual systems.
The position will diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure the reliable operation of the immersive classroom while serving as the technical lead for courses utilizing the immersive projection system. Working closely with faculty and staff, this position will provide technical guidance, production support, and training while collaborating on the design, development, and implementation of instructional content that maximizes the classroom's immersive technologies.
Under direct to general supervision provide faculty, staff and students with technical assistance, support, and policy and procedure orientation on media equipment capabilities and operations.
Minimum Education and Experience
Associates degree and a minimum of two years of experience in media technology service, preferably in an education environment, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
