VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT Media Technician 2 10 Month Position Bloomfield Hills High School

Applications are being accepted for Media Technician 2. This is a Bloomfield Hills Schools Conditions of Employment for Unaffiliated staff position.

REPORTS TO: Building Principal and Media Specialist

DESCRIPTION: 40.00 hours per week 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Rate of Pay: $16.75 - $23.75 Additional $.30 per hour for Associate degree Additional $.45 per hour for Bachelor degree

POSITION SUMMARY: Supports staff and students with technology needs, including computer devices, software, network connectivity, digital signage, and technology training. Works as part of the technology team while assisting the media specialist, media center staff, and audio-visual technician.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support stationary and mobile labs and devices for both staff and students
  • Provide hardware, software, and network technology support to building staff and provide in-service technology training when necessary
  • Assist with reception and security duties as needed
  • Support media specialist and technology staff
  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with students, staff, and community members
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the building principal

PHYSICAL/WORK ENVIRONMENT: Position requires frequent computer use, periods of stationary work, movement throughout the building, and the ability to work in a moderate-to-loud environment. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
