MEDIA PRODUCTION SPECIALIST, TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT

The Media Production Specialist partners with the Training and Development team to conceive, shoot, edit, and finalize video content supporting employee training, safety compliance, and internal communications. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications and based in Englewood, CO, this role owns the full production pipeline - concept through final delivery. Travel to field and job-site locations for footage capture is required, up to approximately 50%.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Collaborate with L&D and subject matter experts to define learning objectives and translate them into video concepts and scripts.
  • Plan and execute video shoots: lighting, audio, camera operation, on-location and studio setups.
  • Edit raw footage into polished final assets: cuts, color correction, audio mixing, graphics, motion titles, and captions.
  • Maintain a consistent visual and brand standard across all training and safety content.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects against production deadlines.
  • Archive and organize raw and finished media assets.
  • Stay current on video/audio equipment, editing software, and accessibility requirements (closed captioning, ADA compliance).
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of experience in video production, videography, or media editing.
  • Proficiency in editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent).
  • Working knowledge of camera, lighting, and audio equipment.
  • Portfolio/reel demonstrating produced and edited work.
  • Ability to manage a project independently from concept to delivery.
  • Preferred: experience producing corporate training, safety, or instructional content; motion graphics skills (After Effects).
  • Preferred: familiarity with instructional design principles or LMS platforms, and experience with accessibility standards for video (captions, transcripts).
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Work in both studio/office settings and active outdoor job-site environments in varied weather conditions (hot, cold, wet).
  • Stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and reposition for extended periods while operating camera, lighting, and audio equipment.
  • Lift and carry camera, lighting, and audio equipment up to 40 lbs.
  • Maintain manual dexterity and visual precision for camera operation, framing, and equipment setup.
  • May work in tight or elevated positions to capture footage (e.g., scaffolding, catwalks, vehicle interiors).
  • Comply with site-specific PPE and safety protocols while filming on active job sites.
  • Travel to field and job-site locations required, up to approximately 50% of time.
  • Good color vision (corrected or uncorrected) required for accurate framing, lighting, and color correction work.
