TITLE: Mechanical Technician B
POSTION OBJECTIVE: This position is responsible for lubrication, preventative maintenance, and repair for all equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalentMechanical aptitudeGood oral and written communication skillsAbility to multi-taskMust be able and willing to work overtime as needed, including on-call availability for nights and weekends as requiredElectrical background is a plus, but not requiredAbility to read blueprints and mechanical drawings is a plusSkilled in operating lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other machine shop equipment is a plusEnsure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interaction
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Troubleshoot, repair, and replace mechanical equipmentPerform lubrication and preventative maintenance (PM) on mechanical equipmentAssist the Electronic Technician with electrical and electronic dutiesPerform welding, machining, and millwright dutiesAssemble and install new mechanical equipment; enter work orders in the maintenance management system; read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawingsMaintain all equipment in good running order; perform route checks and report deficienciesEnsure the job site is clean and free of hazards; follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)Perform other duties as required
