Med Telemetry Neuro RN

A key part of this position involves educating patients, families, and caregivers about diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up steps, translating complex clinical language into terms patients can clearly understand. The nurse will carry out provider-ordered procedures and monitoring, administer prescribed medications, observe for therapeutic response, and intervene appropriately when unintended responses occur — documenting all care accurately and in a timely manner.

A regional medical center in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Med Telemetry Neuro unit. This role offers rotating day and night shift opportunities for an RN with acute care experience who is ready to deliver skilled, patient-centered nursing care in a telemetry and neurology setting.

The role. Working collaboratively with physicians and the broader care team, the Med Telemetry Neuro RN is responsible for assessing patient condition at admission and throughout each shift, promptly identifying and communicating any changes in status. The nurse will carry out provider-ordered procedures and monitoring, administer prescribed medications, observe for therapeutic response, and intervene appropriately when unintended responses occur — documenting all care accurately and in a timely manner. What we're looking for.

• 1 year of recent acute care Med-Surg RN experience required
• Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree
• (APRN) Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, or (RN) Registered Nurse
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Schedule. Days (rotating weekends): 7a–7p; Nights (rotating weekends): 7p–7a.

Compensation. $30.89 - $43.25/hr
