Working under the direction of a Laboratory Supervisor, Manager, or Director, the Medical Technologist performs accurate and timely laboratory testing in accordance with written procedures and regulatory requirements, applying independent judgment to correlate and interpret patient results — including delta checks and critical value management. The position carries responsibility for performing stat procedures within established turnaround time targets and executing quality control procedures per protocol, with appropriate corrective action taken when results fall outside acceptable guidelines.

A Medical Technologist is needed for a hospital laboratory in Largo, FL. This is a full-time night shift role performing stat and routine clinical laboratory testing across Blood Bank, Chemistry, and Hematology.

The role. Working under the direction of a Laboratory Supervisor, Manager, or Director, the Medical Technologist performs accurate and timely laboratory testing in accordance with written procedures and regulatory requirements, applying independent judgment to correlate and interpret patient results — including delta checks and critical value management. The position carries responsibility for performing stat procedures within established turnaround time targets and executing quality control procedures per protocol, with appropriate corrective action taken when results fall outside acceptable guidelines. The technologist operates and troubleshoots laboratory equipment, completes required records and documentation pertaining to patient results, and assists the supervisor in meeting regulatory agency requirements such as CAP. In the supervisor's absence, the technologist assumes appropriate departmental responsibility and supports the resolution of outstanding workload through review of pending and result logs.

What we're looking for.

• A 2 Year/Associate Degree is required
• A 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology is preferred
• A State of Florida Technologist License is required OR the ability to obtain a license during the interview process
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Technologist

Schedule. Full-time, nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) with rotating weekends.

Compensation. $27.09 - $37.92/hr plus ON CALL: $2; NIGHT DIFF: $2.50; Sign on: Night Shift- 10K; Relo- Case by case
