    A Med-Surg Registered Nurse opportunity is available in Panama City, FL at a 238-bed acute care hospital offering advanced cardiac assessment and treatment, certified women's services, Advanced Primary Stroke Care certification, Comprehensive Breast Care Center accreditation, Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and Resuscitation, a Level III NICU, a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and the only Pediatric ER in the community.

    The role. Working collaboratively with physicians and the broader care team, you will assess each patient's condition at admission and throughout every shift, identifying and escalating changes in status promptly. You will carry out provider-ordered procedures and monitoring, maintain thorough and timely documentation in the medical record, and administer prescribed medications while monitoring for therapeutic response and managing any unintended reactions. You will serve as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, anticipating needs proactively and resolving them without delay. You will also translate complex medical terminology to educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up care.

    What we're looking for.

    • Associate Degree or Registered Nurse Diploma
    • Acute care RN experience required; experience must be within the last 3 years, unless the candidate has several years of RN experience, in which case it may be within the last 5 years
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
    • Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.

    Schedule. Days (rotating weekends) 7a–7p or Nights (rotating weekends) 7p–7a.

    Compensation. $29.92 - $44.88/hr plus Sign On: NO SIGN ON; Relo: case by case; Night Diff: $4/h (No weekend Shift diff)
