Mission Community Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Med Surg RN to join our night shift team in Panorama City, CA. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the medical-surgical unit, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and recovery throughout the night.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions during night shifts.
- Monitor patient health and vital signs, administer medications, and perform treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and update individualized patient care plans.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and provide supportive care as needed.
- Document nursing care activities and patient responses accurately and timely.
- Educate patients and their families about care plans, procedures, and post-discharge needs.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical-surgical nursing role preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Strong clinical nursing skills and ability to provide compassionate care.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively during night shifts and adapt to changing patient needs.
