Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN)

This 400+ bed acute-care hospital is seeking a full-time Med/Surg RN for the night shift (12 hour shifts).

Job Description

• The Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, evaluating, planning, implementing, and coordinating a treatment plan and achieving the goals of the nursing department. 

Responsibilities

• maintain overall accountability/responsibility for assigned patients
• manage efficient flow of patient care including screening, preparation for exam, providing maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results
• administer medications in accordance with physician orders
• instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment plans
• respond to and refer incoming telephone calls (may include phone triage when needed)
