    Description

Mechatronics Service Technician, CNC/Robotic Welding Systems

Our mission: maximize uptime, safety, and quality across advanced manufacturing cells. As a Mechatronics Service Technician, you’ll blend mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic expertise to keep CNC HMCs, welding robots, SPMs, and assembly machines performing flawlessly.

    The challenge

Imagine a robotic welding cell drifting out of tolerance. You verify sensors, inspect the PLC I/O, adjust a hydraulic pressure setting, and restore operation—then capture the fix so it’s repeatable. Next, you move to a CNC HMC (Makino / Moriseiki) for a scheduled PM, replace a wear component, and mentor a teammate on diagnostics. Every action supports higher OEE and safer, smoother production.

    Core responsibilities

    • Independently perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and daily care on robotic welding cells, CNC HMC machines, SPMs, assembly machines, press assembly equipment, compressors, and facility/general equipment.
    • Deliver timely repairs and machine rebuilds according to the maintenance line-up; maintain thorough, accurate documentation of work performed.
    • Drive and support continuous improvement projects that enhance equipment reliability, processes, and overall plant OEE; model teamwork and cooperative problem solving.

    Qualifications and skills

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Background in diagnosing CNC HMC mills (Makino / Moriseiki), welding robots, press assembly, compressors, hydraulics, and plant/facility systems.
    • Completion of an industrial maintenance mechanical/hydraulic course or equivalent experience.
    • Proficiency with sensors, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical circuits, and complex machinery; strong troubleshooting acumen.
    • Capability to train, assist, lead, direct, instruct, and discipline employees to elevate team performance.
    • Clear understanding of MIOSHA and relevant government safety standards; unwavering commitment to safe work practices.
    • Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting, documentation, and communication.
    • Effective communicator with excellent time management, urgency, self-motivation, and a solid work ethic.

    Physical demands and schedule

    • Stand for extended periods on the manufacturing floor.
    • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
    • Work flexible hours on 1st or 2nd shift as business needs require.

    Grow your impact

Bring your mechatronics mindset to a hands-on role where your expertise directly improves uptime, safety, and quality—every shift, every cell.
