Job Description: Seeking an experienced Mechanical Tool Designer with strong expertise in industrial and manufacturing automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing automated machinery, material handling systems, tooling, fixtures, and robotic automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop manufacturing automation systems, assembly equipment, machine integration, and high-speed automation lines.
• Design conveyors, material handling equipment, transfer mechanisms, SPMs, and pick-and-place systems using pneumatic, servo, and robotic technologies.
• Design jigs, fixtures, tooling, and mechanical assemblies for manufacturing, assembly, testing, and inspection.
• Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, layouts, fabrication drawings, and BOMs using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Perform engineering calculations related to force, speed, horsepower, pressure, temperature, and strength of materials.
• Select standard mechanical components such as LM Guides, servo motors, sensors, pneumatic components, and other purchased parts.
• Support bowl feeder selection, sensor selection, robotic integration, and automated material handling solutions.
• Review designs for OSHA, CE, ISO, and customer-specific standards.
• Work closely with electrical designers, programmers, machinists, fabricators, toolmakers, vendors, and customers.
• Support machine debug, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and final completion.
• Coordinate design activities with onsite/offshore teams and provide technical guidance to a team of designers.

Required Skills

• 5 7 years of experience in Mechanical Design / Tool Design / Industrial Automation.
• Strong experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Industrial/manufacturing automation and high-speed automation line design.
• Experience with conveyors, material handling, SPMs, robotics, pick-and-place systems, jigs, fixtures, and tooling.
• Knowledge of bowl feeders, sensors, pneumatic and servo systems.
• Strong understanding of mechanical component selection and machine design.
• Ability to lead and coordinate a 10 12member design team and work effectively with onsite/offshore teams.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.
